Between 2022 and 2003 I volunteered as a counsellor at Sunflower School in Kibera, working with children on confidence and life skills outside the classroom. These are kids growing up in one of Nairobi’s more vulnerable communities, and sometimes the most useful thing you can give them is just by showing up and believing in them, that a different future is possible.
It had nothing to do with marketing, and everything to do with why I do the work I do. This one was about showing up, no framework required.
