The Africa Climate School is an annual programme hosted by the University of Nairobi, bringing together students, researchers and industry to talk climate action in an African context. Since 2023, I’ve spoken each year about the sustainability efforts of an organisation like Schneider Electric, because platforms like this are where corporate sustainability claims actually get tested.
I leave every session with more good questions than I arrived with. That’s the value of the room: it doesn’t let you get comfortable, and being challenged publicly on how organisations can do better is exactly the kind of accountability this work needs – for the company I represent, and for me.
